Voting Day

The news reporters in Richmond have been saying for the last couple of weeks that the lines at the polls on voting day were going to be crazy. Since there is nothing we hate more than waiting in line, Jeff and I woke up verrry early this morning so we could arrive at D.S. Freeman High School at 5:45 am, 15 minutes before the polls opened. We thought we would be first in line, but we were wrong. There were probably 30-40 people already there!!! We waited the 15 minutes until the doors opened and everything moved quickly from there. Starbucks was giving away free coffee with proof of voting so we headed straight to the nearest branch for coffee and then home to finish getting ready and eating breakfast before heading to work.

So-we did our duty and voted in what is certainly a very important election!
