Church Hill Date

The night before I left for Cape May, Jeff and I went on a date to Churchill. Cortney had told me about their recent visit to the area and I was intrigued. We started with dinner at The Hill Cafe. We had heard rave reviews about this place and we definitely enjoyed it.

Afterwards we drove further up the hill to a park overlooking the city. The view from up there was amazing. As we were leaving the park, we spotted one of Jeff's coworkers who lives just on the edge of the park. We stopped and chatted with him for a bit and he recommended dessert at Captain Buzzy's coffee shop and a visit to the Confederate Monument with another great view of the city. So we took his advice and visited the monument first and onto Captain Buzzy's second. We had coffees and ice cream and then headed home for some QT before my almost 3 weeks away from the hubs.

Church Hill doesn't feel like Richmond to me. It has great streets full of row houses and tons of history. We need to make our way up there more often.
