Christmas 2007-Part 1

Jeff, Ginger, and I had a great holiday in Suffolk and Philadelphia. We gave and received lots of fabulous gifts, ate delicious food, and enjoyed fun times with family.

Friday night brought us to Suffolk, VA to Jeff's parents house. We arrived and had supper at the Cedar Point Country Club with Marshall, Kathy, Grandma, and Grandad. The long week before and the drive from Richmond to Suffolk wore us out and Marshall and I fell asleep on the couch but not before taking advantage of some delicious snickerdoodles and a photo op of Jeff an Grandma in Jeff's new VT santa hat.

On Saturday morning, we all woke up gradually, I went on a run, and then joined everyone for breakfast. For the rest of the day, we sat around and visited and relaxed-just what the holidays are for. Jeff and Marshall had to do some last minute holiday shopping in true Fleming man style (or any man for that matter).

Saturday night we drove into Portsmouth and met Paul, Courtney and James at the BI Office and exchanged gifts. We received some great stuff and think the booties we got James in Colorado last March were a great hit.

After the gift exchange we went across the street to look at the Coleman's light display (a favorite of the Fleming boys from when they were little). James was mesmorized by all the trains and moving elves, etc. Santa made an appearance and even sang a couple of Christmas carols. After the lights we headed back across the street to enjoy fondue for dinner . It was a lovely evening!

Sunday morning was Christmas morning at the Fleming house. We woke up early to stockings at our door and then headed downstairs to open some wonderful gifts while eating kringle and breakfast casserole. Thank you to everyone for our great presents. Unfortunately, right after breakfast, Jeff, Ginger and I had to hit the road to head back to Richmond, pick up Annie, and get on the road to Philadelphia.
