Today we were WAY more productive than yesterday. We woke up early to say goodbye to Marshall, Kathy, Paul, Courtney and James and then we fixed waffles and coffee for breakfast. While I puttered around inside, Jeff was outside to "do some work."
For those of you who have bought tools for Jeff for our wedding, Christmas, birthday, etc., he really does use them. And he does great stuff with them too. Today is a perfect example. We have a lot of large photos and paintings with either ugly frames or no frames. For a long time, Jeff has talked about making frames for these pieces of wall art but either hasn't had the right tools or just hasn't gotten around to it. Today, he found the time and created a frame for the first of three photos of him surfing that we have up in one of our bedrooms upstairs.

This afternoon, we headed to Carter Mountain Orchard to go apple picking with Cortney and Clayton. I have been wanting to do this for a couple of years and today was a gorgeous day for it. We couldn't believe how many apples there were especially considering the amount of people that were there. We picked multiple pounds of granny smith and red delicious apples. Tonight we are making Chicken Apple Chili from a recipe in Rachel Ray magazine and we are going to make apple pie and I am sure we will find many other ways to use all of our freshly picked apples.
