Last Saturday we returned from Arizona just in time for Danielle and Steve's Surprise Engagement Party. Our flight was due to arrive in Richmond around 6pm. I packed my dress and my shoes and took them to Arizona just in case we experienced any flight delays. Jeff took me straight to Blackfinn from the airport. I walked in the bar, suitcase and VB toiletry case in hand, and changed in the Handislap bathroom and then proceeded to store my luggage under the table in the party room. Normal.
Jamie had created the cutest blue and green pom poms to hang from the bar. The pom poms and the addition of the balloons and little votives in jars created the perfect party atmosphere. At around 7:15, we got word that Jenni Bobbio-another bmaid had Danielle and Steve with her and they were on their way in. We closed the doors and prepared for the surprise. When Jenni opened the doors, we all yelled surprise and Danielle and Steve jumped back not realizing the party was for them. Once they figured it out, they entered the room with shocked looks on their faces and looked around to see who was in attendance. When Danielle spotted her mom and Steve's mom and stepdad, she burst into tears. They had traveled all the way from Florida. 
The party was so much fun and we danced the night away. The party continued late into the night at Danielle and Steve's apartment as they opened their engagement gifts.
Happy Engagement Steve and Danielle! We are so happy for you two and can't wait for sunny Florida in March!
