Farewell 2009...Hello 2010

2009: What a Year! This year it seems we were quite busy. Following are some of the exciting things we did in 2009 (in no particular order):

• We welcomed our niece into this world-Jenna Grace Fleming
• We rang in the New Year in London with my sister and Jason
• I started wearing a helmet while skiing
• Jeff started hunting
• Jeff caught a 20+ lb. catfish in the James River
• Ginger ate, slept, wagged her tail and did some swimming and playing in the snow
• We both turned 27
• We skiied in Chamonix, France and Comayeur, Italy
• We missed a 10" snow in Richmond, but witnessed and played in a 12 incher instead
• We provided community service work to a Richmond neighborhood in need
• We celebrated Danielle and Steve's two-year anniversary with a trip to Virginia Beach
• We celebrated our sweet nephew's 2nd birthday
• We brewed LOTS of beer
• We purchased a vintage travel trailer and are sloooowwwwwllly, but surely restoring it
• We did LOTS of home improvement projects
• We hosted an 84th birthday party/Easter brunch for my grandmother
• We tasted LOTS of delicious food at some great new restaurants in Richmond
• We hosted a party or two at our house
• We made rain barrels
• We congratulated Krysta and Ryan on the birth of their daughter Addyson
• We congratulated Jenn and Howard on the birth of their son Lewis
• We had our house painted
• We celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary with a camping trip to Rodanthe
• We enjoyed the fruits of our garden
• We tried paddle boarding
• We hosted a baby shower for Amy Fleming and congratulated her and Scott on the birth of their son Chase
• We went to our first Indy Race
• We watched and cheered on Uncle Rick as he kicked the #%!* out of cancer!!
• We celebrated the engagement of Steve and Danielle in Corolla
• I visited Austin, TX
• We acted as tourists in our own city
• I reunioned with my mom's side of the family for a week at the beach in Cape May, NJ
• We cheered on the Hokies
• We celebrated Dan Poole's big 3-0
• I got a promotion
• We renovated our kitchen
• I visited the Virginia State Fair
• We visited Phoenix, AZ and San Francisco, CA

Phew. What a wonderful 2009! I am excited to see what 2010 has in store for us.
