So it is no secret that we are always looking for a cheap way to travel so it shouldn't surprise anyone that we agreed to take a timeshare tour in exchange for a free weekend at Massanutten. We needed to return Uncle Rick's Volvo that you may remember from our snowy drive back from the airport after Tahoe so we decided Friday was the night to do it. Jeff departed from Charlottesville in his truck, I left from Richmond in the Volvo and we met at Uncle Rick and Ellen's house in Alexandria. I dropped the Volvo, hopped in the truck and we drove the rest of the way to Massanutten with a quick stop for dinner and to watch Bode ski.
We arrived around 10 or so and quickly dropped into Cally's, a brewery in downtown Harrisonburg where we sampled their flight of beers and decided on a new growler full of their apricot beer. So good! Once we got to the Condo, we Olympic watched (duh!) until we could no longer keep our eyes open.

Saturday morning we were up somewhat early and on the slopes to get as much skiing in as we could before the obligatory tour. We were only entertained by two of the slopes there which we knew would be the case. We zoomed over to the tour just on time and were led around the entire resort by a guy new to the job. After the tour, we were subject to the hardest sales tactics I have ever experienced which turned me off from the entire thing. Needless to say, we didn't purchase. We hopped back on the slopes after escaping from the sales staff, but discovered really icy slopes. Because we are extremely spoiled skiiers, we called it a night.
Dinner was at the Log Cabin barbeque restaurant and then we returned back to the Condo for...you guessed it, more Olympic watching!!
