Olympic Time

Tonight marks the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. I could NOT be more excited. Mom's train arrives around 4:30pm. I plan to pick her up, hit the store for some Olympic themed food items and settle in on the couch by 7:30pm to watch the festivities.

I got choked up this morning watching Matt jog with the Olympic torch (I know-who am I?) and did you SEE the guy who proposed to his girlfriend during his turn with the torch? I loved that.

I also really like the mascots. I am pretty sure the big guy in the middle is a Marmot. Marmots are a giant joke in the Mandel family so I am excited to watch the mascot jump out and surprise people during the next two weeks. hehe. Dad-PLEASE find this mascot while you are there and take a photo with it. PLEASE!

CORRECTION: The little guy on the left, Sumi, is the Marmot. Quatchi is actually a sasquatch. Thanks to Ashley for the info!
