Last weekend, Jeff and I were down in Suffolk once again and this time for his ten year high school reunion. Friday night started out with dinner at a mexi restaurant with Chunk and Katie followed by a brief stop at Nansemond Suffolk Academy for the football game (which we didn't watch) and then to a party at a local golf club for all alumni from years past.
On Saturday morning we awoke and were on our way to the boat for an afternoon on the water when we found out that James was having a soccer game. Since we didn't get to watch him play last time we were in town, we swung by the field to take in the game. Three year old soccer involves lots of aimless running followed by some scoring on the other team's goal, some crying, some daddy high fiving...you get the point. It was adorable and we loved watching James on the field while Jenna flirted on the sidelines.
After the game, we were off on the boat for a relaxing cruise on the water. I read a book, Jeff drove the boat and we couldn't have been happier or more relaxed. Apparently full moons mean realllly low tides so we got stuck once or twice on the way back to the boat lift. Oops. Due to these minor mishaps, we were late for the actual high school reunion.
Luckily, while stuck, we had time to come up with the idea of driving the RV to the reunion and parking it in the hotel parking lot so we could sleep out there after consuming more than one adult beverage. After the reunion and a quick jaunt to a local bar (and we may or may not have stopped at McDonald's and learned they don't sell happy meals after 10pm-I can't imagine why not), we after partied with some of Jeff's old classmates on the RV. Bedtime was 4am. Yikes. We slept on the RV in the parking lot until noon the following day. Don't mind us.
The weekend was great and I still can't believe we are old enough to have 10 year high school reunions.
