Maymont and Lamplighter

During the month of January we have had two weekends at home.  This is about two more than usual.   The first weekend we hiked around Richmond and the second weekend, we painted our downstairs bathroom and spent the afternoon at Maymont.  I used to visit Maymont when visiting Richmond as a child, but I haven't been since I moved here almost 7 years ago.  Maymont in the winter is pretty grey but the animals are still fun to visit.  We look forward to going back this spring or summer when all the gardens are in bloom.

After our visit, we were quite chilly so we stopped by our favorite coffee shop in the fan, Lamplighter Roasting Company, for a hot chocolate and some half decaf half regular coffee for home.
