Today we got up, took Annie to church at Cedarfield, walked her all around outside the property there and then had brunch at Ettamae's Cafe in Jackson Ward. Cort and Clayton had been the day before and raved about it. We sat on their tiny balcony outside and the food was scrumptious.
Afterwards we came home to get Ginger. In the seven years we have lived here we have never been to Easter on Parade on Monument Avenue so we decided to go. Ginger came too. We really weren't missing much these past seven years.
I have determined that Richmond likes to have festivals that are themed: Easter, Italian, Irish, etc. But every single festival is exactly. the. same. Ugh. Blow up, bouncy things, fried food vendors with gross sausages, funnel cakes, etc., and ugly craft vendors. The only things that make these festivals themed are maybe a italian food vendor at the italian fest, some easter egg decor and people in bonnets at the Easter fest and some Guiness at the Irish fest.
Anyway-the weather was beautiful and we did like walking around with our sweet pup.
