Good Friday was the start of a busy week for us. Uncle Will arrived late on Friday night. Before he got here, we went to Corks and Kegs for the normal Friday tasting, met my coworker Anna out at 3 Monkeys for one beer, and then to Don't Look Back, a new Mexican restaurant in Carytown. Strange name, delicious and cheap food. Definitely a new favorite. We then went home to relax and wait for Will. He arrived around midnight and we stayed up until about 1:30am chatting with him.
On Saturday morning, we were up early and prepared a feast for breakfast. Waffles, bacon, fruit, toast and jam, coffee and juice. After breakfast Jeff and I left for Suffolk for Kate's first birthday party and Will prepared to visit Annie.
Kate's party was sweet with just family and one friend family. Kate was so sweet and we got some great photos of her in her first birthday outfit. We spent the night at Paul and Courtney's so we got some quality time with all the kiddos. We also got to meet Michael Beau Fleming, Scott & Amy's newest addition. He is so sweet. Congrats to you guys! We now have 6 nieces and nephews. 3 boys and 3 girls.
In the afternoon, we went to James's t-ball game...quite possibly the cutest thing ever. They all run all over the place, attempt to throw the ball and play the bases. It's awesome. James did so well and my favorite thing about his strategy is that he slides into every base every time.
On Sunday we were up early and off to church with Marshall and Kathy for Easter Sunday. After church we spent some time with Scott, Amy, Chase and Beau and I got to hold the sweet baby for a long time. :)
After their house, it was time for lunch at the club and then back to Richmond. When we got back to Richmond, I hit up whole foods for ingredients for Easter dinner with Will. Rockfish, Mahi, green beans, and purple potatoes. So good.
It was a busy but lovely weekend.
