Happy 28th birthday to you. 27 was a fantastic year full of fun and excitement. I love you more with every year and I can't wait to see what #28 will bring.

So clearly this weekend was Jeff's birthday weekend. Because we have found that birthdays become less and less exciting the older we get, we have decided to celebrate together all weekend long.
We started on Friday night at Gibson's Grill for dinner before catching the Pat McGee Band show at The National. Delicious food and a great concert-loved the opener Pat Carson. On Saturday morning I woke up and made Jeff breakfast-pancakes, bacon and coffee and then we were off to explore a new part of Richmond with Ginger in tow. The Pipeline is down near the canal walk and is a narrow walkway on top of a pipeline that offers magnificent river views. After our excursion, it was on to Phil's for a snack of nachos and limeade and then back to the house to watch Butler spank Kansas State.
For Saturday night we had plans to eat at Tokyo Joe with Danielle and Steve and then it was on to the Fan for drinks. So fun! We ended the night at Cortney and Clayton's for a beer and a chat before heading home to bed.
This morning, the fun continued. We slept in and then met Marshall and Kathy for lunch at Kuba Kuba and then we stopped by Home Depot to grab the bead board we need to finally finish our kitchen renovation. Jeff has been busily working on the last evening of his birthday. But he likes it.
